Gwendolyn Blue is a Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Calgary. Her research focuses on public engagement with socio-environmental issues, specifically climate change and genomic-based approaches to climate change adaptation. Recent research examines impact assessment processes and practices through an environmental justice framework as a means to enhance meaningful public engagement. Gwendolyn is an experienced facilitator, and has helped implement the Canadian arm of World Wide Views on Global Warming, the first global citizen deliberation on climate change, and Alberta Climate Dialogues, an interdisciplinary and multiple sector deliberative democracy initiative to improve local awareness of climate change.
