Monika Stolar is a Research and Industry Relations Officer at Simon Fraser University, liaising between researchers, external funding agencies and industry to identify potential research collaborations and partnerships.  She has a strong passion for scientific communication and education through graphical visualization and local outreach programs, engaging scientists with the public. Monika holds degrees in the fields of both science and graphic design. Her PhD thesis on the design of new materials for more sustainable electronics has been recognized with several publications and an international award from IUPAC. Through her science communication endeavours, Monika is very eager to help promote STEM individuals to explore new opportunities, where they can share their STEM experience and knowledge with others.
