Zachary Myers currently works as a nuclear scientist with Defence Research and Development Canada. He began his career as an academic physicist, collaborating with scientists from several countries, before joining the Canadian Army’s Corps of Engineers. During his time in the military, he specialized in nuclear, biological, and chemical threat mitigation both domestically and overseas. He also worked as a United Nations Peacekeeper, providing political and security assessments to his mission’s senior leadership and participating in its diplomatic liaison function. He has been a research fellow with Carleton University’s School of International Affairs’ pilot Defence Fellowship Program. In his current capacity, he oversees several research projects pertaining to national safety and security.
