Colin has significant experience leading initiatives that leverage national and international networks to mobilize innovations that address existing and emerging security risk. Having recently completed a four year embedded assignment to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate, Colin is now working to mature the strategic science/policy interface in preparation for the next generation of global challenges. He has led risk-mitigation efforts in support of national and international events such as the Olympics, and G20/8 Summits, while also providing leadership to advance community resilience and first responder operations across Canada and the U.S. Colin began his career as a pilot/officer with the Royal Canadian Airforce, earning significant multi-national operational experience on missions spanning the Cold War to the War on Terror.
