Elizabeth Shantz is the Knowledge Mobilization Manager with the Research Innovation Office at the University of Guelph. In this capacity, she works to connect University of Guelph research to decision-making - managing the Policy Fellowship program in Agriculture, Food and Biodiversity and coordinating knowledge mobilization initiatives and training, with a specific focus on research under the umbrella of Food from Thought, the Canada First Research Excellence Program at the University of Guelph.
Before taking on this role at the University of Guelph, Elizabeth worked in knowledge mobilization at the Canadian Water Network – working with faculty and students to communicate their knowledge to stakeholders, evaluating the impact of CWN-funded research, and managing knowledge mobilization funding programs. She has worked as a community engaged scholar on issues related to food security and climate change, and graduated with an MASc in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Waterloo.
