Dr. Jean Andrey is Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo; as well as Chair of the Canadian Chapter of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Over the past three decades, Dr. Andrey has built a reputation as an expert on weather-transportation interactions including weather-related road safety, winter maintenance practices, and the implications climate change for transportation. She has published nearly 100 articles, book chapters, and technical reports; and supervised 200 thesis projects by students; and has made contributions to national and international climate change assessments. A lifelong passion has been teaching, and she is proud to have taught nearly 10,000 Environment alumni who are now making their marks, in so many ways, across Canada and the world.
