Holder of the CRSNG-Hydro-Québec Industrial Research Chair in Carbon Biogeochemistry of Boreal Aquatic Ecosystems (BiCÉAB), Professor Paul del Giorgio specializes in the study of bacteria in aquatic environments for the Interuniversity Research Group in Liminoly (GRIL) at L'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). More specifically, he is interested in Regional studies of greenhouse gas dynamics and carbon cycling, sentinel systems for monitoring boreal and temperate lakes and remote sensing for developing aquatic landscape models.
