Shernaz X. Bamji

Shernaz Bamji is a professor in the Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences and a founding member of the School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. She has a long-standing interest in understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neural connectivity, and has contributed to our understanding of fundamental mechanisms underlying learning and memory, as well as how these processes are perturbed in diseased states. She is currently the Associate Director of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health and President of the Canadian Association for Neuroscience.
