Simon Racicot-Daignault was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of InnovHQ inc. in June 2020. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing an end-to-end vision and strategy for commercializing innovative technologies that will help build Québec’s energy future. He also oversees the activities of the Hydro-Québec subsidiaries and affiliates in charge of rolling out the technologies and services resulting from the company’s R&D efforts, including Hilo (energy efficiency and demand response), EVLO (energy storage systems), Dana TM4 (electric motors and drivetrains) and the Electric Circuit (charging infrastructure).
Mr. Racicot-Daignault joined Hydro-Québec in 2018 as Senior Director – Generation and Maintenance at Hydro-Québec Production, where he managed the operation and maintenance of a fleet of over 60 hydroelectric generating stations with a total output of more than 200 terawatthours per year of clean, renewable energy. Previously, he worked in the tech sector, developing film projects and large-scale attractions featuring interactive and immersive experiences. Earlier in his career, he spent some 15 years working for various multinationals in the food and transportation manufacturing industries, where he specialized in operations, supply chain and project management, as well as continuous improvement.
Mr. Racicot-Daignault holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University.
